We met by chance one night in a hotel lobby — both waiting for our rides, not knowing we were about to meet the person we’d spend forever with.

A week later, we had our first date at the hotel’s Italian restaurant… and talked for so long they literally had to kick us out at closing time. We still weren’t ready for the night to end, so we wandered by the beach until 2am, talking about everything and nothing, completely ignoring the fact that we had work the next day.

That’s pretty much how it’s been ever since — effortless conversations, shared adventures, and never quite enough time together.

Years later, on a road trip through Italy, he brought her to a hilltop castello in Tuscany at sunrise and asked her to marry him.

She said yes.
